Transformed Ephemera

Transformed Ephemera was a project where we had to use whatever was around us and focus on presence and expression. So I began looking around for objects that contained typography or letting. I found some old receipts, and I remembered that we were taking down my grandparent’s piano booklets and asked for some old music sheets that she may have left behind. When I received them, I began tearing them up in exciting ways to play with the broken-up typography.

After taking the physical changes, it was time to alter them digitally. I turned to Photoshop to accomplish this task. This part was enjoyable, transforming the photos into works of art. There are designs with little too simple alterations and others with extreme and unrecognizable modifications to the materials.
